As the first venture capital firm designed for builders and creators, Worklife from the beginning has worked closely with artists, creators, and technology companies designed for the future of creative work.
We’ve worked closely with celebrities launching their own brands, artists incorporating new technologies into their creative process, and built an ecosystem for tech founders to learn alongside the world’s most visionary creators.
Over the last few months, storytelling has become one of the most highly sought after skills and obvious gaps in Silicon Valley. We have a shortage of experienced writers, videographers, and production companies to support the changing needs of tech companies and the missing piece to help AI companies achieve escape velocity.
Introducing the Worklife Storytellers Collective
We’re launching the Worklife Storytellers Collective with support from 100+ film and TV writers, podcast producers, production companies, and the best creators in entertainment.

What this means for founders
We’ve built an incredibly hard to access network of the best in the business to bring Hollywood and Silicon Valley together.
This gives founders access to:
- Creative directors – not an ad agency you pay for a launch video, but access to the most visionary creators and directors to think holistically about how to position your product, how to build an in-house media company, and how to engage with your ICP in a memorable, high-impact way
- Production companies – tech companies are building in-house media teams one job posting at a time. This process is too slow: hiring is hard and creatives need more ramp time to create cohesive work. By working directly with a proven production company, tech companies have the ability to quickly scale their media efforts without waiting multiple quarters to build the team from scratch.
- Writers – The modern founder is not just a builder. They are a distributor, a storyteller, a category creator, and a growth machine. The companies winning today are not necessarily the ones with the best technology — they are the ones who are aggressively committed to distribution and mindshare.
We’ve created a collective to work directly with founders to craft the right narrative, up-level their customer events, and connect with creatives in a way that’s never been done before.
What this means for creatives
Every role in Hollywood and the broader media and entertainment industry has changed significantly in the past year.
We’re excited to collaborate with not only industry vets who have decades of wisdom to share with the next generation, but also the up-and-coming AI-native filmmakers who have created entirely new ways of creating in an industry that’s notoriously hard to break into.
Welcome, Margarita!
To lead our creator efforts, I’ve brought on Margarita Di Monte, previously CAA, Disney, and leading our generative AI and AI-native filmmaking efforts.
Margarita will be leading the Worklife Storytellers Collective with frequent events in LA and NYC.
Our first event was held on Thursday, May 14th at Spark House in LA with 50 attendees and strong representation from the best directors, producers, and studios.
Our NYC event is coming up on Friday, June 19th with an impressive attendee list as NYC has become a thriving ecosystem for talent as fewer films are getting made in Hollywood.
Margarita will play an active role in ecosystem events like SXSW, AI on the Lot, FWB Fest, and not only bring the world’s leading creatives into Worklife companies, she’ll be advising generative AI companies on how to engage with Hollywood to unlock distribution at scale.
